If you read our previous article analyzing the pros and cons of pediatric chiropractic and are considering this approach on your child it is time to do a little research of your own.

Choosing a chiropractor

The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA, Inc) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of chiropractic family practitioners dedicated to advancing public awareness and attainment of the chiropractic family wellness lifestyle. Chiropractic practitioners can attain advanced credentials specifically related to the treatment of children and pregnant women. There are a number of courses offered through the ICPA.  Depending on the specific type of certification achieved, the practitioner will have the appropriate credentials listed after their names.  In addition, they are listed as having a Pediatric Certification on the ICPA membership referral directory (ICPA, 2010) . The ICPA also allows you to search for a pediatric chiropractor in your area.
